Topic: How to Level up as an Assistant
Maggie Olson is the Founder of Nova Chief of Staff, the premier destination for Chief of Staff education and development. As the first Chief of Staff to a president at a Fortune 40 company — who led a multibillion-dollar business with 5,000+ employees — Maggie built the president’s Chief of Staff model from the ground up. Maggie has 20 years’ experience leading large teams and has spent her career focused on both customer and employee experience at companies including T-Mobile, Nordstrom, and Starbucks. In addition to operating the Nova Chief of Staff Certification course, Maggie is a fractional Chief of Staff focused on helping mission-driven, for-profit startup founders scale their businesses quickly. In her spare time, Maggie loves spending time outside with her husband, their animals, and their 10-month-old, Max!

Pastor Jonathan Mussett is the Lead Pastor at Westover Hills Church (AG) in San Antonio, and he is passionate about seeing families win in their faith. He holds a PhD in marriage and family therapy and is licensed as a professional counselor and as a marriage and family therapist in Texas. He is an ordained minister (AG) and serves on the National Mental Health Care Committee of the Assemblies of God. Pastor Jonathan and his wife, Pastor Danae, serve together as Westover’s Lead Pastors and they have two children, Aiden & Alexis.

Topic: The Heart of Jesus as an Admin
Nick has been in vocational ministry for over 10 years and served as the lead pastor of Journey Church in Amery, WI. His walk with Jesus has included seasons of rejoicing and seasons of repenting. Nick’s experience of gracious care through the church has made him passionate about serving others with messy stories. He serves as the Admin for the Care Ministry at Southeast Christian Church. He and his wife, Ali, have three beautiful daughters and a crazy dog named Jax.

Ashley is the Associate Pastor of Iron Coast Church in Brunswick, ME. Before moving to plant a church alongside her husband in Maine, she worked at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY in a variety of leadership and administrative roles. She has her Masters in Evangelism and Leadership from Wheaton College, and is passionate about unleashing the church to serve God’s purposes for this generation.

Laura Avery is the Executive Admin at Eastview Christian Church in Normal, Illinois. After a fourteen year corporate career at State Farm Insurance and ten years at home making a career out of family life – she joined the staff at Eastview in 2013. Laura’s role evolved as she journeyed with an everchanging mix of the Spiritual Formation Pastor, Executive Pastors and the Lead Pastor. Laura and her husband Dale travel as often as possible and enjoy the always changing lives of their daughters Megan and Jenna.
Breakout Topic: Serving Well Without Losing Yourself
Jesse has been serving the church in influential roles since he was a teenager and has over 15 years of administrative experience in both large and small church contexts.
As the Chief of Staff at Church on the Move, he served as the right-hand man to the Lead Pastor to help him stay focused on what only he could do and ensured that key initiatives throughout the organization kept moving forward.
He currently works for Ready Set Grow and serves churches and their leaders by helping to clarify vision, move initiatives forward, train and coach, and find sustainable rhythms. He's a true “jack of all trades” who works hard to increase efficiency and effectiveness wherever he goes.
Jesse lives in Tulsa, OK with his wife, Summer, and their three kiddos: Nelly, Remy, and Maya. He is passionate about spiritual formation, emotional health, personality assessments, intentional parenting, and ruthlessly eliminating hurry.

Heather Burczynski currently serves as the Executive Assistant to the President and CEO of Lifeway Christian Resources. She began her career with Lifeway in 1998 as the Music Buyer at the Jackson, MS store upon graduating with her Bachelor of Arts in Church Music with an emphasis in voice from Mississippi College. Through her years at Lifeway, she has worn many hats (Office Coordinator, Administrative Assistant, and Lease Administrator), but the one thing she loves most is organizing and keeping things running smoothly for her boss.
She enjoys serving on the worship team at her home church (Brentwood Baptist), traveling, reading, and cuddling up with her pets, Gracie (cat), Winston (25-pound Maine Coon cat–the biggest cuddler of them all), and Lanna (dog).
Breakout Topic: Influencing Your Workplace When You Don’t Have Authority
Lane graduated with a degree in education, but most of her professional career has been in administration. She’s worked primarily in church settings but also has corporate and non-profit experience. Lane currently serves as the Executive Assistant at Austin Ridge Bible Church in Austin, TX, where she provides administrative support to the Lead and Executive Pastors, oversees the administrative staff at three campuses, and leads the database and event teams. With her background in education, people development is a high priority for Lane. She spends much of her time coaching, training, and supporting her staff so they can be successful both personally and professionally.
Lane is married to Troy, and they spend much of their free time traveling – beaches and mountains, big cities and small towns, fancy restaurants and hole-in-the-wall eateries, and everything in between! They also enjoy traveling to visit family and cheering on their nephews in their various sporting events.

Sara Whitbeck is the Executive Assistant to Kyle Idleman, Senior Pastor at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY. She is a graduate of Lincoln Christian University and is honored to utilize her giftings and experience to serve the Church. Sara and her husband John have two daughters, and are passionate about advancing the Kingdom through global missions. They are also committed to investing in marriages through mentoring and speaking opportunities focused on encouraging and equipping couples to move their marriages from surviving to thriving.

An innovative thinker and creative leader with over 20 years of experience in environmental design, Nathan puts his creative arts and executive leadership skills to work creating harmony between people, places and spaces.
